Education plays a major role in community development and is one of the fundamental pillars of our association. In these difficult times, more than ever, the Humanitarian Relief Appeal was also responsible for ensuring that both the devices and the necessary connectivity reached children of all levels in order to maintain access to distance education.
The impact it had within the educational community was essential, as it was possible for families with 4 or 5 members who shared a mobile device to send and receive homework and independently access classes on a daily basis.
The increase in student participation in completing assignments and in corresponding classes was so great that teachers and principals considered it a determining factor for the success of online education during this school year.
The response and gratitude of the mothers and fathers were immediate, as they expressed the relief that it brought them to be able to meet this urgent need to have the equipment and the necessary connectivity to adapt to the new reality of the educational system during this pandemic.
We are immensely satisfied to see our objectives achieved and to know that so many children and young people, who did not have an adequate device to continue classes during this lengthy period, remain active within the education system.
