Patricia Vergara Madrigal, Community Pride Committee Chair
Graduated in clincal and organisational psychology at the Univerisdad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. Patricia and her partner Roberto Santa Cruz are Punta Mita homeowners at Hacienda de Mita since 2006.
Patricia Vergara has 29 years of experience as a business consultant in organizational behaviour.
Founder and Director of OMINICRECE (Guadalajara, 1980), a company that specializes in the design and implementation of programs of Personal Growth.
Since 1984, she has been dedicated to design and direct Personal Growth Programs that have been delivered to nearly 250,000 people in 19 countries in Latin America, Eastern Europe and the Hispanic population of United States and Mexico.
Her not for profit work includes promotion of Micro and Small Enterprises in women’s groups. Served as National President of the Asociación Mexicana de Empresarias (AMMJE) from 1988 to 1998. AMMJE is part of the International Association “Les Femmes Chefs d’Enterprises Mondiales (FCEM) based in Switzerland. She is Founding Partner of the Entrepreneurs Association SPANDA in Guadalajara, a local partnership to promote the political and social responsibility of entrepreneurs and their participation in both state and national decisions.
Patricia´s corporate Board experience: Shareholder and Member of Board of Directors of companies in various orders of business: Reserva Natural, S.A. de C.V., dedicated to bottling natural spring water; Servilife, S.A. de C.V., outsourcing for corporate purchasing, Pisos Urbanos, S.A. de C.V., real estate developer of urban housing complexes.
Tania Ritchie, Education Committee Member
Tania and Rob Ritchie arrived by sailboat from Canada in December of 2008 and stumbled on to Punta Mita by chance. They fell in love with Hacienda de Mita and have been here ever since. Tania was a proud “stay at home mom and wife” but got seriously involved in several charitable endeavours, two that were on the educational side of things, raising funds to build schools for both handicapped children as well as for schools that served children with dyslexia and similar issues. Tania served on the board of The Homeless Foundation in Calgary as well as raised significant funds for the Canadian Avalanche Foundation.
Katherine Nidermaier, Education Committee Member
With over thirty years of experience, interior designer Katherine Nidermaier began her design career in New York City after completing her studies at Parsons School of Design. In the mid 80’s she relocated to San Francisco and worked in the forefront of high-end residential and hospitality design. Katherine has worked in Mexico since 1990 with design studios in the US, Guadalajara and Punta de Mita. She has established herself as one of Mexico’s foremost interior designers with projects ranging from luxurious resort properties such as the Four Seasons Private Villas in Punta Mita to exceptionally personalized, high end residences throughout the region.
Mary D. Corroon, Founding Donor, Board Secretary and Education Committee member & chair
Mary and Jim Corroon are owners at Hacienda de Mita since 2008. They reside part time in San Francisco, California. Mary has over 25 years of experience on both charitable and industry-based NGO Boards and executive Committees, including multiple periods in the position of President of the Board. Mary´s business experience has been focused on technology and organization management consulting for Fortune 500 and start-ups in the U.S. in the Punta de Mita area, Mary is a past President of the Vigilance Committee/Board of Hacienda de Mita, and has spent 5 years as a Board member.
