“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest” – Benjamin Franklin. At PEACE Punta de Mita we firmly believe that education is the first step towards success, which is why we are highly committed to reaching all members of local communities, focusing on younger generations. Through our various programs we can encourage students to pursue any vocation of their choosing and we can help them along the way. Through our Scholarship Program, the follow up program to Campeones, we give students an opportunity to enroll in a prestigious school in Bahía de Banderas, hoping to enhance their academic reach. Although the Scholarship Programs is limited to high school level education, we like to accompany its members on every step of their journey to becoming successful professionals.
Since its beginning in 2015, PEACE has witnessed and proudly celebrated its student’s accomplishments. In honor of these students, we would like to share with you part of their journey, from their time at PEACE up till their current activities. First generation Scholarship holders: Giovanni Muñoz, Fernanda Prado Fonseca and Daniel Jacobo Benitez are on their way to becoming professionals, as they are currently enrolled in different colleges in Puerto Vallarta.
Pursuing his passion for photography, Giovanni is taking multiple courses and workshops, that will further his upcoming career. As for Daniel, who is studying at C.U.C, building a future as an upcoming Graphic Designer. Meanwhile Daniela is attending classes at U.N.E, forging her path as a social worker.
Following in their footsteps, 2016 scholarship holders Amram Cortez Pelayo, Misael Ramos Pelayo and Alondra Flores Santiago have each chosen career paths that they hope will benefit those around them. Helping her community and sharing its beauty has led Alondra to enroll at U.T. and pursue career in Tourism. Helping other people live a healthy lifestyle has motivated Misael follow a path as future Nutritionist. Like him, helping others is a meaningful factor to consider to choose a career path, which is why Amram hopes to become a Doctor in the future.
These college students have paved the way for younger generations. Eager to follow in their footsteps there are 6 scholarship holders currently enrolled in Colegio Bucerias: senior classmen Sivoney Santiaguin Renteria and Karla Cansino, 2018 Campeones graduates Arlett Ruelas and Mar Arleth Sanchez, last but not least, youngest members Briggett Meza and Yosmavi Lourdes Saldivar. We wish them the best of luck and will continue to encourage and support them all the way through.
