Over the years, PEACE has gained recognition at the highest levels of government, the State of Nayarit and Federal Government. During its seven years of existence, PEACE has been certified by the Sistema de Administración Tributaria (SAT) as Donatario 1 and the Mexican Centre of Philanthropy (CEMEFI) as Optimum Level (maximum level). Other prestigious certifications include: Servicios para la Confianza A.C. and Rossel Consultores.

PEACE Punta de Mita Aligns with a number of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015 the United Nations updated its Millennium Goals to define a set of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be shared by communities globally. In September 2019, The UN Secretary called on all sectors of society to mobilize for a decade of action on three levels: global action, local action and people action. We have found that several existing efforts at PEACE Punta de Mita align nicely with the U.N. SDGs, and they also provide an opportunity to intentionally incorporate SDG principles into future projects as well.
