A Night of Hearts, Art, and Shared Purpose

February 14th was more than a celebration. It was a powerful expression of what love in action truly looks like. Our Annual Valentine’s Day Gala PEACE & Love brought together generosity, creativity, and shared commitment in support of one belief that unites us all: education changes lives.

What unfolded throughout the evening was not simply a fundraiser, but a collective affirmation of possibility. Every conversation, every gesture of support, every PEACE Heart acquired reflected a community choosing to invest in the future of its children and adults with intention and hope.

Guests were welcomed by our Prepanet students, standing proudly alongside their teachers and escorting attendees to their tables. It was a quiet yet powerful reminder that the students at the center of our mission are not only beneficiaries of generosity — they are active participants in this shared journey.

As the evening officially opened with inspiring words from Frank Hutto and Antonio Salgado, the message was clear: education is built through partnership. It is sustained by those who believe deeply in long-term impact.

Shortly after, anticipation gave way to one of the most beloved traditions of the night: the Trashion Show.

Inspired by iconic artists such as Frida Kahlo, Remedios Varo, María Izquierdo, Saturnino Herrán, and Rosa Rolanda, eleven Campeones students transformed recycled materials into extraordinary wearable art. Accompanied by the vibrant sounds of Nortec Collective, the runway became a celebration of creativity, environmental awareness, and youthful courage.

They did not simply walk the stage. They embodied imagination, discipline, and pride. Once again, the Trashion Show captured the heart of the evening.

As dinner service began, guests gathered around thoughtfully curated food stations, continuing conversations that reflected both joy and shared responsibility. What followed was one of the most meaningful moments of the night: the PEACE Hearts Giving Moment.

The generosity continued into the live auction, where exclusive experiences and meaningful contributions reflected not only enthusiasm, but deep trust in our mission. Among the most moving moments was the acquisition of two commemorative classroom plaques — lasting symbols of investment in the spaces where learning, confidence, and leadership are built every day. We extend heartfelt appreciation to Larry Mirick and Lee & Crissy Jamieson for their extraordinary commitment and belief in our students.

As the live band began and the dance floor opened beneath the night sky, the celebration continued — a joyful reminder that giving and gratitude can coexist beautifully. The evening closed not with an ending, but with renewed energy for the work ahead.

This Gala was made possible by our donors, sponsors, volunteers, teachers, allies, and, most importantly, our students. It was a reflection of what can happen when a community chooses to invest in education with intention and heart.

For those who joined us, we invite you to revisit the memories through our memorabilia video. For those who could not attend this year, we hope these images give you a glimpse of the magic — and inspire you to join us next year.
