Meet Sebastián: Finding Friendship, Confidence, and Big Dreams

Juan Sebastián Juárez Valencia's journey from Puebla to Punta de Mita transformed through PEACE's Campeones program, where he built friendships, discovered creative talents, and achieved academic success on his path to becoming a culinary professional.

When Juan Sebastián Juárez Valencia relocated from Puebla to Punta de Mita alongside his father, the transition proved challenging. The unfamiliar climate, new people, and different surroundings created an overwhelming initial experience. However, as time passed, both Sebastián and his father gradually acclimated to their new community.

Sebastián's father discovered PEACE's Campeones program and recognized it as an excellent opportunity for his son. This decision to enroll became transformative for the young student.

Through the Campeones initiative, Sebastián discovered a supportive environment for personal expression and self-discovery. His talents became especially evident during the Trashion Show, where he invested over 15 hours crafting an outfit that "captured plenty of attention for its originality and care." Beyond creative achievements, he developed meaningful friendships with peers who value him authentically. These companions introduced him to local landmarks and helped him feel genuinely welcomed.

Sebastián aspires to become a culinary professional, and the education he receives through PEACE directly supports this ambition. His commitment demonstrates measurable results: he achieved a perfect score on the math entrance examination for Prepanet, illustrating how "dedication, encouragement, and a supportive community can transform lives."

PEACE remains committed to supporting Sebastián's continued development. The organization emphasizes that donor contributions directly enable these transformative educational experiences, ultimately "opening doors not just to academic success, but to personal growth, friendship, and a brighter future."
