Prepanet Kick-off: A Transformative Day at TEC de Monterrey
Forty-seven PEACE Punta de Mita Prepanet students participated in the 2025-2026 national Kick-off event at TEC de Monterrey's Guadalajara campus, celebrating inclusion and opportunity through workshops and motivational leadership.
On October 31, Prepanet students from PEACE Punta de Mita participated in the 2025–2026 national Kick-off event at Tecnológico de Monterrey's Guadalajara campus, designed to welcome new learners into a community centered on inclusion, growth, and opportunity.
Forty-seven students total—thirty-nine first-year and eight second-year enrollees—traveled from Punta de Mita. Carlos Bejo, Director of Digital Inclusion at TEC de Monterrey, welcomed them and discussed "the transformative power of education and the importance of pursuing dreams with determination." The Prepanet Leadership Team also shared motivational remarks.
The day included the Calaveritas Literarias activity, a Mexican tradition of humorous poetic verses created during Día de Muertos. Students attended workshops spanning business, medicine, geography, debate, culinary arts, and sports, which helped them envision professional futures and sparked new ambitions.
An afternoon session featured information about the Líderes del Mañana Scholarship, a full-ride program for academically strong students with financial need. Lorena Araiza led the presentation, followed by remarks from a current scholarship recipient sharing messages of resilience and hope.
For many attendees, this marked their first campus experience—simultaneously inspiring and transformative. Second-year students found renewed purpose returning in leadership capacities. The partnership between TEC de Monterrey and PEACE Punta de Mita demonstrates how education opens doors, builds confidence, and ignites purpose for participating students.
