At PEACE Punta de Mita, education goes far beyond the classroom. Every day, we create opportunities for our beneficiaries to learn, grow, and lead—thanks to the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our team.
This month, several initiatives came together to show what education in action truly looks like. From sports and leadership to mental health and self-awareness, our programs continue to nurture not only knowledge, but confidence, teamwork, and emotional well-being.
Volleyball: Learning Discipline Through Movement
With great enthusiasm, we launched the Prepanet & PEACE Volleyball Club, bringing together two teams of talented youth under the guidance of our Physical Education Tutor, Juan Carlos.
More than just a sport, volleyball has become a tool for building discipline, respect, and teamwork—values that our beneficiaries now carry into their academic and personal lives. Juan Carlos, a state-level volleyball player and graduate of the University of Guadalajara, reminds us that “every serve and every rally is an opportunity to grow stronger in mind and spirit.”
Leadership in Action: The Prepanet & PEACE Ambassadors Program
At the same time, our new Ambassadors Program is giving students the chance to take leadership into their own hands. Guided by Executive Director José Antonio Salgado and their tutors, our Ambassadors are learning that true leadership is about empathy, initiative, and collaboration.
Whether coordinating events, promoting sustainability, or bringing art and creativity to our campus, these young leaders are shaping a culture of service and community. As Antonio shared, “Leadership begins when education meets purpose—and here, our students are learning to lead through action.”
Fostering Awareness and Emotional Health
Education also means caring for the mind and heart. On October 9, psychologist Enrique Espino Soria led the community workshop Digital Awareness and Its Impact on Mental Health, offering tools for a more mindful and balanced use of technology. This open session reminded us that mental well-being is an essential part of lifelong learning.
Evaluating Growth Beyond Academics
Finally, within Prepanet, we continue to measure not only academic progress but also personal transformation. Our evaluation of Positive Leadership and Personal Growth uses the internationally recognized HERO and PERMA models—frameworks from Positive Psychology that assess hope, resilience, optimism, and well-being.
These tools allow us to confirm that our students are not only learning, but also developing emotional strength, purpose, and the confidence to overcome challenges and inspire others.
Together, these projects reflect what your continued support makes possible: a generation of young people who learn with purpose, lead with heart, and live with resilience; helping us build stronger minds, healthier bodies, and more compassionate leaders—today and for the future of Punta de Mita. Together, we make a difference creating opportunities through education.
