PEACE Punta de Mita Welcomes the 2025–2026 Program Cycle

At PEACE Punta de Mita, we begin a new program cycle with great excitement and a renewed commitment to transforming lives through education, personal growth, and community development. Each new beginning reminds us of the impact that collective effort can achieve and the importance of keeping opportunities open for the children and youth of our region.

The admissions process for the second generation of Prepanet, in partnership with Tecnológico de Monterrey, brought meaningful progress. We began initial recruitment in Emiliano Zapata, Corral del Risco and Higuera Blanca, and extended the call to La Cruz, Bucerías and Sayulita, allowing us to welcome even more motivated and high-achieving students into the program. As a result, 39 new students joined this second generation, bringing the total to 60 students currently enrolled across both cohorts. Our ultimate goal is to reach 150 Prepanet students, a milestone that will mark a turning point for access to higher education in the Riviera Nayarit.

The growth of Prepanet goes hand in hand with the progress of all our programs, which together form a network of support for children, youth, and adults in our region. During this month, PEACE teachers visited elementary and middle schools to invite students to join Campeones Jr. and Campeones. This program cycle, Campeones Jr. will serve 68 children from Emiliano Zapata and Corral del Risco in third through sixth grade. Most participants are beginner and lower-intermediate learners of English, showing consistent performance across grade levels. These results confirm the program’s success in building strong foundational skills while also highlighting the need to emphasize progression toward higher proficiency.

Campeones, designed for middle school students, is also welcoming new participants. As of today, 70 children from Emiliano Zapata and Corral del Risco are enrolled, with final registration closing in early October. Activities will begin on October 6, offering instruction in English, Computer Science, Leadership, and Life Skills. Last year, 90% of Campeones participants continued on to high school, and 75% of them chose Prepanet as their first option, underscoring the vital role this program plays in shaping academic pathways.

At the same time, the Keep Going! program continues to open doors of learning for adults in our community, currently serving 69 students, many of whom are just beginning their journey in English. Most participants acquire foundational skills effectively and demonstrate strong overall performance. Targeted strategies to strengthen advancement toward intermediate proficiency will ensure that adult learners not only learn the basics but also achieve long-term empowerment.

With these combined efforts, hundreds of families daily feel the impact of PEACE Punta de Mita and its educational programs. Today, approximately 340 people of all ages enter the gates of Campus de Mita—children in Campeones Jr., teens in Campeones, youth in Prepanet, and adults enrolled in Keep Going! and Click On, our other personal development programs. This constant presence is a living testament to what generosity and shared vision can achieve.

None of this would be possible without the donors and supporters who believe in our mission. With your help, we step confidently into a future with more opportunities, more education, and more hearts united for change.

Join us in making Punta de Mita thrive!
