On October 31, our Prepanet students joined the 2025–2026 national Kick-off at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Guadalajara — a day designed to welcome new learners into a community of inclusion, growth, and opportunity.
Thirty-nine newly admitted first-year students and eight second-year students boarded the bus from Punta de Mita, filled with anticipation. Upon arrival, they were greeted by Carlos Bejo, Director of Digital Inclusion at TEC de Monterrey, who spoke about the transformative power of education and the importance of pursuing dreams with determination. Alongside him, the Prepanet Leadership Team at TEC de Monterrey welcomed the students with inspiring messages that set the tone for the day.
Early on, students participated in the Calaveritas Literarias activity — short, playful poetic verses traditionally written in Mexico during Día de Muertos to honor and humorously celebrate someone. Workshops in business, medicine, geography, debate, culinary arts, and sports offered more than just a glimpse of university life. They helped students imagine themselves as future professionals and sparked new academic and personal ambitions.
In the afternoon, students attended an informative session on the Líderes del Mañana Scholarship — a flagship full-ride program at TEC de Monterrey for outstanding students with high academic potential and financial need. The talk, led by Lorena Araiza, was followed by a powerful testimonial from a current scholarship recipient who shared a message of resilience, gratitude, and hope.
For many of our students, this was their first time stepping onto a university campus — an experience that felt both inspiring and transformative. Many expressed how welcomed they felt by the TEC community, and how the workshops helped them envision possibilities they had never considered before. For returning second-year students, coming back in a leadership role made the day even more meaningful, strengthening their confidence and sense of purpose.
Moments like these remind us of what makes the partnership between TEC de Monterrey and PEACE Punta de Mita so extraordinary. Here, education is not only about academics — it opens doors, builds confidence, and ignites purpose. Every step our students take, every dream they begin to believe in, is made possible by the generosity and commitment of those who walk beside them.
