PEACE Punta de Mita is delighted to announce José Antonio Salgado as our new Executive Director. With a career dedicated to education and community development, Antonio brings not only experience but also a spirit of leadership that aligns perfectly with our mission.
Originally from Chiapas, Antonio studied Law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), one of the 100 best universities in the world, and began his professional path in Mexico City. Yet it was his growing passion for education and community service that shaped his future. From studying in the United States and working with Save the Children Federation in the Caribbean, to teaching and leading in some of Mexico’s most respected schools, his journey reflects a lifelong commitment to learning and to people.
For the last 26 years, Antonio served as Middle and High School Principal at the American School of Puerto Vallarta, where he was known for his close leadership style and dedication to helping students grow academically and personally. His influence has touched generations of young people, families, and educators.
Now, as he joins PEACE, Antonio brings that same dedication and vision to our communities in Punta de Mita. His experience, combined with his deep belief in the transformative power of education, makes him an invaluable addition to our team.
We are truly excited about this new chapter, confident that under Antonio’s guidance, PEACE will continue to grow, strengthen, and create opportunities that transform lives.
