With great honor, we received Alba Cristal Espinoza Peña, current president of the Nayarit State Legislature, on July 26th. She is the first woman in the history of the State Congress to assume the presidency and has demonstrated impeccable performance in directing legislative work for the benefit of the state's development.
During this visit, we had the opportunity to spend time with a group of young people from the communities of Emiliano Zapata, Corral del Risco and Higuera Blanca, where she addressed the teenagers with an emotional speech, sharing her personal experience, as well as her journey from her basic education studies to her master's degree abroad, emphasizing the commitment she had from the beginning to achieve great goals, and the enormous responsibility she has presiding over the legislative branch of our state. Likewise, during the conversation, the teenage girls asked her several questions about the challenges of being in charge of directing the decision making in regulatory matters and remaining firm in the fight for the vindication of the rights of all Nayaritans.
Later, she visited our community center, this time to have a space for dialogue with women and community leaders and to learn about the work we do in education and community development. The occasion was conducive to present in detail our Mita Campus project, as well as the different activities, programs and projects on which will be collaborating on a permanent basis, and reiterating her unconditional support for our organization.
Undoubtedly, the alliance with the different public sectors, both at the executive and legislative levels, support us and encourage us to continue working for the development of our communities.
