After putting different projects on the table, and derived from the curiosity of the young people and the health situation that is being experienced around the world, the First Campeones Project was born, called Health Analysis of the three communities, having as its main objective to analyze the health situation of Corral del Risco, Emiliano Zapata, and Higuera Blanca and to identify possible health problems, which will later allow the design of an action plan and intervene in some of the problems identified. This analysis was done through surveys, and the results were revealing, since, according to the interviews, it was observed that the most common diseases in the three communities are diabetes, hypertension, depression, and anxiety. The cause could be the current health emergency and the need to be at home causing an even more sedentary lifestyle. It was also observed that people who have some kind of disability do not have the means to obtain orthopedic devices.
This project gave young people a broader view of the place they live in, the knowledge to conduct socioeconomic studies, and, above all, the attachment and sensitivity to the conditions of their communities to which they belong.
Lia the Baby Robot Project
Derived from the surveys of the first project, it was observed that 21% of high school students in Punta de Mita do not attend high school nor graduate due to early pregnancy, which is why the second project of Campeones will be focused on sexual, psychological, financial, and developmental education, in order to raise awareness of responsible parenthood among young people with Lia, our baby robot with 100% Mexican technology, which will enable young people to experience something close to real parenting responsibilities. Once again, PEACE invests in this type of project to create a culture of prevention and responsible parenting while working towards openness to new challenges, empathy, sensitivity, and commitment; undoubtedly, values that will make a teenager a better human being.
