PEACE Punta de Mita is pleased to announce it has received a significant grant from the American Embassy to support our English Program.
Project name: Strengthening the English Program for Children and Young People in the Community of Punta de Mita, in Nayarit.
Summary of the Proposal: This proposal, aligned with the 2030 agenda of the United Nations (UN), aims to strengthen 1,300 children and young people in the learning of English as a second language, improving their knowledge, attitude, and skills, achieving opportunities for their development in the short and medium term, in 11 public schools located in Punta de Mita, Nayarit, Mexico.
About the English Program: The program was first introduced in 2014 in three of the local public elementary schools (Emiliano Zapata, Corral del Risco and Higuera Blanca) developing rapidly. Within a year, it was adopted in all local schools, including 3 kindergarten schools, 4 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 2 high schools. PEACE Punta de Mita's English program, benefits 1,300 students from all four educational levels each year: preschool education, primary education and secondary education, providing 7,800 services, since its inception in 2014.
We are very grateful to the American Embassy for this generous grant of US$9,720.00 to support the PEACE Punta de Mita’s English Program, which will serve to improve the living conditions of our children and young people.
