In the past, Punta Mita Hospital and PEACE Punta de Mita have coordinated various events that have benefited numerous members of the Higuera Blanca, Corral del Risco and Emiliano Zapata communities. Such events have included: breast cancer awareness seminars, health seminars for teenagers, etc. The outcome of these seminars and events was exemplary, reaching as many people as possible giving them access to new possibilities and educating newer generations.
The Campeones program, in an effort to adapt to current conditions, was redesigned by changing face-to-face classes for an online tutoring system using the Google Classroom platform, in which virtual classrooms were created for each age group, and a training program was developed to last since the beginning of social distancing and up on until July 15.
After 17 consecutive weeks with the "humanitarian aid" program, there were some emotional experiences and events that left everybody with a sense of satisfaction. Each person, each story, each story encourages us to keep carrying out this wonderful initiative week by week, striving to aid as many families as possible.
We are thrilled to announce that for this Summer Camp Edition, starting from July 27th until August 7th, we will be implementing an Online version based on the face-to-face workshops we usually have. This might be a good alternative for kids to stay educated and entertained, but also to help families during this unprecedented time.
