The new generation of Campeones is ready to begin activities. We are getting ready to welcome 50 students from 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades of Secundaria, in a renewed and enriched environment with more special activities for the students.
This year we will have 4 facilitators who will be in charge of developing different skills and projects in the students: Teacher Karina Orozco, who will continue to lead the program, will develop the community projects with them; Health Week, Baby Lia Program (newsletter #29, February 2021), the Entrepreneurship Project and other topics of interest.
On the other hand, this school year we are incorporating programming classes taught by our ICT specialist who has been at PEACE Punta de Mita for 5 years, is an Information Technology Engineer, and was in charge of the design of our English educational platform: Ana Orozco. Learning to program reinforces logical and creative thinking, enhancing our ability to solve problems. Currently we are very immersed in the world of the Internet, so it is essential to understand how it works.
This program was born with the idea of providing young students with practical skills that allow them to develop in the digital world, giving them the power to excel. During the learning process the students will develop skills to create web pages using HTML and CSS, know how Javascript and PHP work, and understand the main elements that make up a web environment and how to interact with them.
English classes continue daily, taught by Professor Alexis Ornelas, incorporating in parallel the learning acquired in the other subjects, and incorporating the language in the development of all the projects that are carried out.
In relation to human development and mentoring, we have the support of the psychologist Carla Pliego, who tends to all students on a weekly basis, to follow up on all needs and concerns in the emotional area.
In this way, we project that this will be another successful year for the achievements of the Campeones, and take them to the next level of performance.
